I
have tried my best to be patriotic and against all odds tried to love this
tribe called kikuyu. My take has always been that people should consider
themselves as Kenyans before thinking about tribe. My belief has always been
that individuals should be judged on the merit and stereotyped as belonging to
a particular community.
During the PEV, I and my wife hid a kikuyu woman in our house for the length of the skirmishes. My college sweetheart Regina was kyuk and my current girlfriend supu and lovemat have kyuk blood. But from what I have seen lately from the political arena, it is the kikuyu who invite hate up on themselves. From their utterances, these are people who think they are superior to other human beings, they think they are the best thing to ever happened to human kind.
To add insult to injury, they are now trying to push this Uhuru Kenyatta down our throats. You hear some people shouting how Uhuru has very high leadership qualities. I have watched how he speaks and behaves and came to a conclusion that he doesn’t even qualify to be a village elder. This is a guy who loses his cool like an adolescent boy and allegedly has human blood in his hands. That’s not my president.
It’s a high time the kikuyu started thinking beyond Mt.Kenya and try to integrate with other tribes. The freedom they are enjoying now to speak profanities against other was brought about by patriotic Kenyans such as raila, matiba, njeru gathangu among others. They should thank Raila for dismantling that KANU gravy train. It is so sad that KANU has reinvented itself through G7 and the kikuyu are in it up to their necks. Do these people ever learn? What remains is for Mudavadi to join G7 (that’s where he is headed) and KANU will be full house.
I am very patriotic and has many kikuyu friends, my good boss is kikuyu too, but these people as a community have to change their mindset if people have to respect them. It is only sensible that we do not have another kikuyu presidency any time soon; other tribes also need to feel recognized as potential leaders.
Even if we are to get another kikuyu
president, it should not be Uhuru and his friend Ruto holding the reins of
power. I cringe when I imagine the Uhuru/Ruto axis holding power; we will be a
doomed nation.I will always try to be neutral and non tribalistic but Kikuyus have provoked my primitive senses beyond tolerance.
The bottom line is; if the kikuyu want others to
like them, let them climb down from that terrestrial cloud and consider others
as human beings. And before they call anybody kihii, let them stop this
embarrassment of being beaten by women. A whole man with makende mbili being beaten by a woman!!!This should come right from
the top office, that office needs to stop nepotism in appointments to senior
government positions.

not good for a patriot....
ReplyDeleteyou are entitled to your own opinion but its very unfair to generalize issues.
ReplyDeleteseriously,u call yourself patriotic?
ReplyDeleteor whats ur definition coz am confused! top generalizing the kikuyus or u feel bad coz u were not born one? we are all kenyans and every community has its weaknesses we just have to accomodate each other and i dont see how your article helps!
In 2007 i was a Kenyan Kikuyu,... but from 2008 Jan i became a Kikuyu from Kenya. Its not your responsibility to love a Kiuk, we are enough to love each other(Kiuk/Kiuk) so don't worry you minds. We(Kiuks) have been hated, hated, hated,,, and we dont care as we belong to Kenya and kenya belongs to US.
ReplyDeleteThe editor, Never approve such a SHIT "Hatred against Kikuyu" to be published.
ReplyDelete* It’s the kikuyu who invite hate upon themselves. The writer of this article is a fool who doesn't even know what he is talking about. Such people should be dealt with accordingly and even the publishers of this paper should not entertain such posts.
ReplyDeleteShame on you.
I have never read such stupidity in my whole life! I will repeat, we are not choosing a tribe, we are choosing a leader, and if the leader is a Kikuyu well and good! We won't miss you if you relocate from Kenya! If a Kikuyu is a PS somewhere, you want him to resign so that there is equal opportunity? NEVER! If you want to be successful, work for it, if you want respect, earn it KIHII!
ReplyDeleteI do not understand people who say we whould elect the next president irrespective of tribe and in the same breath say it should not be a kikuyu. Isn' this double speak. It is this kind of talk by you tribalist that leads to violence like what we experienced in 2008 which had an effect on all tribes. By the way how is uhuru being forced down your throuts you have the power to NOT vote for him, stop acting so helpless. It is very sad that someone who sounds as educated as yourself can have such kind of reasoning. I expect this in a pedestrian conversation at the jobless corner.
ReplyDelete2 Words....HATE SPEACH.
ReplyDeleteAm not a kyuk but thatz not being patriotic!!
i guess the writer of this article is one of those he is calling kihii.
ReplyDeleteand your point is...go jump a kite for your kyuk vile...
ReplyDeleteClearly this is an idiot and from those who can read between the lines hes actually akihii and has issues not with patriotism but with his tribe being in leadership thanks God this is your opinion. We have our votes and we know whom to elect
ReplyDeletelike many Kenyans lives today we cant compromise bcoz you can it for uaself if i cant go on ua side u will crosifiy me Kenya vijana must change radically for beter
ReplyDeleteI am a Kiuk and proud of being one. Why does the success of Kikiuyus hurt the Luos so much! Yes we are everywhere and we literally drive the economy. You say Raila brought whom freedom?? Remember it was our grandfathers who fought for independence! Thats why its MAU MAU and not Ng'ony Ng'ony! While our grandfathers were fighting for independence where were yours? Somewhere in L. Victoria fishing or peeling off their foreskins!
ReplyDeleteKIHII means uncircumcised! Are you? I bet not! since when did calling a blind person blind become an insult!??
We don't need you to love us! We are many enaf to share love among us! If you are so irritated by Kiuks get a gun and kill the next one you see! Maybe your landlord is a Kuik!
Meza wembe! We own Kenya and you work in our companies, plantations etc! It must really hurt to be a Kihii.
You say Kikuyu men are beaten, don't you understand the difference between being attacked and being beaten?
can someone put a like button here i need to like t=some fantastic comments!
ReplyDeletei like your boldness I knw many will not like what they read but it nothing but the truth...
ReplyDeleteI think what he means is that a person should get a job based on merit and not being a Kikuyu. The same way uhuru should prove himself and not just be voted in because his a Kikuyu..
ReplyDeleteShame on you. Are you bitter to acknowledge that we drive the economy? KIHII typical
ReplyDeleteThe writer of this article has nothing to offer apart from insults and hatred. This is a jealous person and a Luo at that. I am sorry the writer has said non-sense.
ReplyDeleteTRUE BRO, TRUE, THESE GUYS ARE THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL, WHATEVER THEY SAY LET THEM BE SCREWED TO HELL. na mjinga mwingine anasema babu yake alipigania uhuru......bulshit si asome a book called" The Succesion, A Kenyan Story, Kwera kabisa!@#k
ReplyDeleteTribalism is entrenched in our born marrows. Look at all the appointments, CBK governor, parastatal heads etc. The same will happen if Raila, Mudavadi or Kalonzo is elected president. During Moi's time KCB had been given an acronym ;Kalenjin Chukua Bure. Take a look at how our MPS debate in parliament. Kenyans should learn to forge a head without becoming sycophants to these greedy politicians. All of them are greedy none is different from the other.
ReplyDeleteelected/erected lol!!
ReplyDeleteCan we pray for our country and stop all the above insults please. No body who knows tommorrow. I want to believe that Kenya is a christian country not a tribalism country. Am not a Kikuyu,Luo,Kalenjin, Luhya, but am comfortable with Kenyan leaders. If God in heaven is happy about me (kenyan) we should just thank him and pray.
ReplyDeleteMSCHEEEEEW!!!!!!!! NONSENSE WAKAE KWAO NA SISI KWETU.
ReplyDeletedude grow up...very uneducated comments...blame politicians not every tribe member...smdh!
ReplyDeleteAlthough the article is blatant, it has truths.
ReplyDeleteAm not kyk or luo so i will be objective. The writer is wrong to allude anything to beatings while kyks are wrong to allude anything to circumcision.the point here is that both communities, like any other have their own shortcomings.but it is naive of anyone to claim that maumau was only kyk .kyks should stop thinking that kenya is kyk. Am getting angry so lemi leave it at that.but kyks should style up.
am a kyuk, and a very proud one! i do not hate any1 from any other tribe at all. i have plenty of them who are good pals. what i hate is pretence! tribalism in kenya has taken on a new meaning: when a kyuk supports a kyuk, thats tribalism, but when a luo supports a luo like the've always done, thats OK. another meaning of tribalism is if a kyuk does not support Raila! its common knowledge that the late Tom Mboya was a darling among many kiuks. He even ranked better than Kenyatta and majority of kiuks had no problem with him taking over from kenyatta! n thats why the so called Mt kenya Mafia assasinated him(atleast thats what my grandpa told me!). when PEV started, kyuks were the targets, they did not attack any1.clearly, the writer of this article is a pretender n a hypocrite, the worst tribalist av ever heard! we number at least 6.5 million, at least 20% of the entire population of Kenya! just how many kiuks do you know, for you to generalize them as tribalists? what makes u think that we need to style up....really? we styled up a long time ago the moment we discovered that true wealth does not come from rallying foolishly behind one tribal leader (or should i call him demigod) and buying into his empty promises and foolish parables but rather by working hard and employing educated fools like u to work for us!
ReplyDeleten by the way we do not think we are superior to other human beings, or any of the crap that u've said about us, we are only proud of who we are n what we do, n we are not afraid to show it! we rarely brag but when we do then its about somthing that we have really achieved! if u really think we are not the best thing to have ever happened to mankind, then come out with your entire tribe and prove yourselves!
c'mon u need to style up dude!
