Haiya!!! NTV’s LARRY MADOWO used to sell porridge at Gikomba

1.       He went to St. Gabriel’s Seminary School in Kisumu and always dreamt of becoming a Catholic priest.

2.      He came to Nairobi for the first time in early 2000s

3.      He developed reading culture in his childhood and could read meat wrappers of old newspapers

4.      He worked for years at his aunt’s food kiosk at Gikomba where he could sell uji and other food stuff

5.      He worked as a sales person with Close-Up and worked at Uchumi Supermarket Mombasa Road branch

6.      He had interest in print media but later diverted interest with electronic media

7.      His first attachment was with KTN where he became a business reporter

8.     His first article which was more of an entertainment article was rejected by a paper owned by Royal Media Services

9.      In 2005 he wanted to launch a monthly paper dubbed  The Classic Month with Jared Opiyo but failed to launch due to lack of funds.

10.  He went to Daystar University later on as Jared was deployed by RMS as a reporter for Radio Ramogi

11.   He is a staunch Christian and born again

  11. A journey of a thousand miles starts with one step. Larry, your story shows progression and the direction is promising. Like Johnnie Walker lovers would tell you...."keep walking!" I have come to love your TV presence especially THE TREND. Am amazed at how you manage to come up with such funny & informative pieces.   12. That is brilliant, it shows how focused you are in life. However you are infuriatingly inquisitive especially when interviewing persons on TV. Need to check on that.
