Kirinyaga MURDERER takes own life

Tuesday, December 04, 2012 - A 28 year old man committed suicide a few hours after he killed a 40 year old man; following a fight. The man is alleged to have slit the middle aged man’s throat with a knife.

Kirinyaga South police boss Apollo Onyonyi, said that the man committed the act at Ndia village and later fled before residents could catch up with him; a man hunt for him was launched though he had gone into hiding.

The man is alleged to have been involved in a fight with the 40 year old man before he took a knife he was carrying and cut his head off. 

After several hours of searching, residents reported to have found his body at Makutano in Kirinyaga. Police have ruled out foul play and deduced that he may have committed suicide.

A bottle of pesticide was found besides his body. His body was taken to Kerugoya mortuary for post mortem investigations.
