Wednesday, December 05, 2012 - Danish producer and musician DJ Pharfar will be coming to
Kenya for a six day tour to start on December 10th. The producer is
famed for producing hit tracks for Jamaican and international artists with the
likes of Beenie Man’s track Better
than dem.
Pharfar will be attending a workshop
in Lavington at Metta Metta Art before he attends the Kibera Good Governance
Festival to be held on December 15th at the Kibera DC grounds.
While talking to the media about his
visit, he said he is very excited to be performing in Kenya and better still to
be among the pioneers of the music exchange project. Pharfar pointed out that
he is hoping to work with some Kenyan musicians in future.
The project is aimed at interacting
with Denmark and Kenyan musicians who will be trained on the two different countries’
music trends.
Among musicians who will be there is
Gospel artist and 2011 Chaguo la Teenies ‘Best Live Performer’ Juliani. Pharfar
will be accompanied by Denmark’s soul-reggae artiste Wafande.
