Wednesday, December 05, 2012 - After 8 months of working with lucrative South African based
business news channel CNBC, former NTV business journalist Larry Madowo has
officially confirmed his departure from the station and it is still not clear
where he may be headed though rumor has it that Standard Group C.E.O. Sam
Shollei is after his signature.
On inquiring about his resignation,
Madowo remained mum and has not given details why he has left the lucrative
station where he was earning well more than he was earning at NTV.
8 months ago after his defection from
NTV Madowo proudly wrote the statement below, though apart from his tweet today
confirming his departure seems he will not be giving a press statement on his
departure from CNBC.
“I am
leaving because I am a risk taker. Because I am an endlessly curious person. I
want to see what happens next and I want to fully live every minute of my life.
As Mark Twain once said: ‘Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed
by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did. So throw off the
bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore. Dream. Discover.’”
