Thursday March 15, 2012 - Irate
students of Nairobi Technical Training College went on rampage on Wednesday and
burned a matatu after it hit a female student while crossing ring road in Ngara
area.
The driver of the matatu plying the Eastleigh route
fled the scene immediately but presented himself to Pangani Police Station.
Furious students demanded that bumps be erected along Ring
Road. They went ahead and blocked the busy Juja road and part of Forest road.
As the riots continued, the matatu was torched by other students.
The students battled with police in the whole of
Wednesday afternoon and the riots were further infiltrated by criminals who
looted shops in the area before police stopped them.
Was this necessary, just because of an
accident? Or were the students justified?

they were ,matatu drivers should know they risk lives when they break traffic rules.what if she was seriously wounded and had to navigate via a wheelchair all her life?, or worse was killed.wacha zichomwe,funzo kwa wengine kama hao.
ReplyDeleteThose are some of the hard decisins that some kenyans have to make to instill law and order especially when it come to matters dealing with negligence. Most negligence matters in Kenya are not taken seriously but untill then people will suffer from such.
