Princess DIANA's niece has two-word reaction to Prince HARRY and MEGHAN MARKLE's return

Thursday, August 27, 2026 - Princess Diana’s niece Lady Eliza Spencer has welcomed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s return to the UK with a simple two-word reaction: “Absolutely, it’s exciting!” Speaking at the London launch of her rosé brand, Lala V, Eliza said she hoped to find time to see her cousin and his family now that they are back in Britain.

Harry, Meghan and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, arrived in the UK on August 26 after spending about six years living in California. Their return has immediately drawn attention because of Harry’s complicated relationship with the wider royal family, but Eliza’s response offers a noticeably warmer welcome from the Spencer side.

She also joked that she and Meghan, who has her own rosé brand, might exchange winemaking tips, replying “Maybe!” when asked about the possibility.

Eliza’s comments could add fresh interest to the Sussexes’ renewed presence in Britain, particularly as the family reconnects with relatives on Diana’s side. Harry and Meghan have already visited Althorp, Diana’s former family home and final resting place, during their return.

With the Sussexes now spending more time in the UK, attention will be on whether the move leads to stronger family connections — and whether Eliza’s enthusiasm signals a broader thaw within Harry’s extended family.
