Angry residents of Wamba Division, Samburu East Sub County yesterday evening
shot a 34 year old man with an arrow after they found him sexually molesting a 7
month old baby.
Francisco Lelenguiya, a cousin to the baby, had sneaked into the room where the baby was resting where he committed the heinous act.
According
to her mother, Eunice Lelenguya, she left to go fetch firewood when the cousin
sneaked into the house. She returned and found him inserting his fingers in her
private parts.
At
that time, he had dropped his trousers half mast most likely in preparation for
the real act. He was shocked to see the mother and tried to escape but the
woman held his trousers making him fall on the ground.
She
alerted other locals who responded fast. Men who were armed with arrows shot at
him on the leg making him immobile.
Francisco
was taken to Maralal Police Station where he spent the night pending
investigations. He will be arraigned in court and charged with defiling a
toddler.
The
baby was taken to hospital where she was treated and discharged.
