Man commits suicide in Mugirango after first failed attempt with POISON

Sunday, December 02, 2012 - A 50 year old man who had previously been rescued by residents of West Mugirango after he attempted to end is life with poison was found dangling from a tree outside his house in Miruka village.

Residents said that Joshua Omato was a drunkard and this may have led to him killing himself. Apparently just some few months ago he had taken poison and was found by his wife writhing in pain at his house.

He was rushed to hospital treated and discharged. Yesterday residents were shocked when they found his body dangling from a tree, and a resident said that the man has been depressed since his wife left him due to his drinking behavior.

Confirming the incident was the area police boss who said that the incident is shocking  and urged residents to resort to other ways of solving their problems instead of killing themselves.
