is the best medicine. If you have attended the night of a thousand laughs, then
you know that the event is insanely funny.
Although the D-date has not been confirmed, who are some of the
faces you expect to find?
Eric Omondi - This young man has become quite a sensation since
his discovery in 2008 on NTV’s ‘Churchill Live Show’. He scooped the award
of the Best Comedian at the Kalasha Awards 2011. Currently, the young man has
joined top Kenyan TV personalities as an advocate of good nutrition .The artist
famed for his pick up line, ‘hawayu’ is a man with a bright future and has a
dream to make the whole of Africa laugh at his jokes.
Afamefuna Klint Igwemba, (Klint Da Drunk) - Since his discovery
by top comedian Opa Williams, the man has transformed the Nigerian humour
culture. He has travelled all over the world and is said to be working on
his musical album, comedy movies and events
Mandy Uzonitsha – Nigeria -This woman has been referred to as
the queen of comedy. Interestingly, she is a Political Science graduate from a
Nigerian University. She has performed at 2 sessions of Comedy Club for M-Net
and on the Nite of Thousand Laughs in several cities. She entered into comedy
over 15 years ago and has still maintained her charm to the audience which has
been depicted by the couple of awards she has scooped as the best female
comedian.
Others to expect are Uganda’s Patrick Idringi (Salvado),
Benson Ohene Boateng (Funny Face) from Ghana and the very creative Zimbabwean
Carl Joshua Ncube
