Ngilu threatens to demolish Musila’s mall

Monday March 26, 2012 - Water minister Charity Ngilu on Sunday threatened to demolish a multi million shopping mall in Kitui town belonging to Assistant Minister of Defence David Musila.

Ngilu claimed Musila acquired land irregularly.

“We sing about impunity every day but some leaders continue using their positions to get away with grabbing land,” Mrs Ngilu said.

However, in a tough rejoinder, Mr Musila dared Mrs Ngilu to try the planned demolition.

He accused the Water Minister of inciting people in the area for her political mileage.

“I dare her to go ahead and demolish the building. We’ll see where this jealousy will take her,” Musila said while leaving to China on a coal mining fact finding mission.

Both Ngilu and Musila are aiming for Kitui County Governor’s electoral seat.
