Wednesday, September 30, 2026 - Hayden Panettiere’s family is backing Wladimir Klitschko’s request to become the temporary legal guardian of their 11-year-old daughter Kaya’s estate.
Klitschko filed the petition in Los Angeles County on September 24, seeking authority to protect Kaya’s inheritance following Panettiere’s death at 36. Family sources described the move as a legal formality and expressed support for Klitschko’s role in protecting his daughter’s interests.
The request comes as questions surround Panettiere’s estate and property. Court documents say Kaya is her mother’s sole heir, while Klitschko has raised concerns about belongings removed during an ongoing investigation, as well as jewelry and other property he says is missing or unaccounted for. He is seeking temporary authority so assets can be protected while the estate moves through the probate process.
The guardianship request concerns Kaya’s estate and inheritance, not custody of the child. A hearing on Klitschko’s guardianship status is scheduled for December 7. The case is now focused on securing Panettiere’s assets and determining how they will be managed for her daughter as the legal process moves forward.
