'I am one of the motivators of the Sauti Ya Ma’Youth project initiated by a group of graduates and students from local universities.

The main objective of this youth initiative is to empower the youth through interactive, participatory talent nurturing and community development initiatives.

I have already set the ball rolling by financing the registration of the group and opening bank accounts for them at the Equity Bank and Diamond Trust Banks.

However, on behalf of the group and on my own behalf, I wish to make a passionate appeal for financial support from well wishers, corporate bodies, businessmen and individuals to come over and support this project.

To further push this brilliant idea, I have also written to all relevant authorities to come forward to offer both moral and financial support to these young energetic youths focused on fighting idleness through implementation of projects to fight youth unemployment through self-employment and job-creation.

I wish to sincerely thank Engineer Nkadayo, the Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) Director General for his marvelous support to the group and for creating time out of his busy schedule to meet the Sauti Ya Ma’Youth members when they paid me a courtesy call in my office.

To other youth groups out there, I challenge you to emulate Sauti Ya Ma’Youth and come up with ideas and projects that will transform their lives for the good and never to give up for they say “Rome was not built in a day”.

I wish to further urge our youths to keep themselves busy by engaging in income generating activities and to avoid idleness as they wait for the Jubilee government to disburse the youth fund.'

The Sauti Ya Ma’Youth leadership comprises the following:-

Project Manager- Mr. Feroze Athman, a 1st Year student taking Bachelor of Business Information & Technology (B.B.I.T) at JKUAT.

Assistant Project Manager- Kenny Andola - A graduate and holder of Management Science degree from Strathmore University.

Financial Controller - Elizabeth Njeri - A 3rd year student taking Bachelor of Commerce and Finance at Strathmore University.

Relations Officer - Benziv Losim - A 2nd year student taking Business Administration degree at USIU.

Secretary -Dianne Muhonja- Graduate of JKUAT - B.A Mass Communication
