Man found DEAD in hotel in Ugunja

Monday, December 03, 2012 - Yesterday at a hotel in Ugunja, hotel attendants were in shock after they found the body of a client dangling from a rope in the bathroom.

The middle aged man is alleged to have booked a hotel room and later bought a bottle of beer. On Sunday, at about mid day, the attendants on duty tried knocking on the door but the door was locked from the inside.

The hotel management alerted police in the area who arrived at the scene of the incident and together broke down the door of the room only to find William Diang’a Ochieng hanging from a rope.

Confirming the incident Ugenya OCS Joseph Mutungu told the media that Ochieng did not have a suicide note and it was still not clear why he committed suicide.

Police are on ground investigating the incident though they have ruled out foul play.
