GEMA must be stopped now!!....

The GEMA cultural association was formed in the 1970s mainly to seek control of the national, political and economic arena at the expense of other communities. Somewhere along the line, Moi taught GEMA to lie low like an envelope. Now the GEMA monster is back to rear its ugly head in Kenya.

Under the pretext of bringing the members of the 3 GEMA communities together, the GEMA met last week in Limuru. The fiery speeches made in that meeting left other communities wondering what the hell these people were up to. The speeches were very emotive, like those of people under siege from some unidentified enemies.

Actually they pointed out that the enemy is RAO though indirectly. Watu wajitokezee kama wanaume wa name names.

Just the other day, I had an opinion here titled”It is the Kikuyu who invite hate upon themselves”, I was condemned and insulted; now see what they are doing. I repeat, groups like GEMA should not be used as a cover up to launch campaigns against other communities and their leaders.

It is sad that even GEMA religious leaders could bend so low as to spew out tribal vitriol and hatred. They can as well burn their bibles and join Mungiki!!! Now we know the real promoters of ethnicity in Kenya. While we should be trying to work towards national integration and unity some people come out trying to lord it over us. They must be stopped from dividing Kenya into tribal enclaves. On this score, Moi was far better, I could see him moving round the country saying “Nyayo!, Nyayo! Peace, love and unity.

The thread which ran through all speeches in that meeting was that the community was under attack with this Hague thing. What I know is that only two people from the community have been accused at The Hague. What is this thing of “our people are being finished”?, who is finishing Kikuyus?

According to me, it is these people who have gained a lot during the last 10 years of Kibaki rule. Most posh government positions have been given to members of the GEMA community. Finance, security, parastatals, permanent secretaries and provincial administration are filled with GEMA.I am just wondering where the problem is. I want to assure these people that nobody is against them, kwani what do they think they have done to fear so much? You only fear when you know or think you are guilty.

What is GEMA guilty about? If Jonam, the foreskin man, could vote for GEMA in 2002, who is there to fear? If it is the Hague, they brought it up on themselves by insisting that “we go to the hague, don’t be vague”. Kibaki and Raila actually attended parliament when the motion to establish a local tribunal came up in parliament for debate and voting in order to beg MPS to vote for a local tribunal, but they could hear none of it! Now it is RAO who has taken people to The Hague, only fools can buy that argument. And Kenyans are no longer fools.

Only tribal chauvinists will support that while knowing very well that it is fallacious. Like I said the other day, all this tribal grandstanding by GEMA is making things real bad for Uhuru’s case at the ICC. Again it has been proven that Uhuru is just a tribal king who can mobilize his community to defend him at all costs with some even saying he should defy ICC. The ICC is taking in every morsel of information and it will be very elephant for Uhuru when the trial begins. Let nobody cheat him that 2 million signatures from GEMA will save him. The best he can do is to fire his current lawyers and hire people who studied real law.

Uhuru Ndege was a simple man eking a living by fishing in Lake Naivasha. He and his family lived a simple life in Naivasha. On 27Th December, 2007, he voted as is his constitutional right. In early January 2008, people suspected to be Mungiki descended on his family burning all the 9 of them to ashes. ICC says Uhuru Kenyatta with others planned these attacks at State House, Nairobi. Just before this, members of the Kikuyu community who had sought refuge in a church in Kiambaa were burned to death by suspected Kalenjin gangs.

ICC says Ruto was the mastermind of this attack and other related attacks. I understand Uhuru and his family has large tracks of land in Taita Taveta, Rift Valley, Coast just to mention a few. He has not given even an inch to any IDP, most of who are members of his community. Which kind of a man is this yawa! Not even an inch of all those tracks of land yawa!no!no!no! If you are a kikuyu and you support Uhuru, something must be very wrong with you!, you are just a tribalist blinded by chauvinism. You are the same person quick to call patriots like me tribalists. 

Now we are being told that we need to collect 2million signatures to save his ass!!Why don’t we collect signatures to ensure Uhuru Ndege and Kikuyus who were hacked to death, raped or burned get justice? Why can’t we be told to collect signatures to force the government to resettle IDPS within a month? We should be collecting signatures to petition our MPS not to prolong their stay in parliament to 2013! We should be collecting signatures to ensure that the achuths who have put their dirty fingers into public coffers pay back!`
