February 06, 2012 - Nothing worse than a lover gone wild. Drama
unfolded in Naivasha after a nuptial ceremony involving a man alleged to be
married for 13 years were interrupted by a woman claiming to be his.
Salome Wambui claimed to have been married to the man
who happens to be a leading pastor in the town and that the bride was her best
friend.
According to one of invitees the incident left the
visitors at Redeemed Gospel Church and area residents stunned.
The fire breathing lady dashed to the dais just after
the bridal party arrived however riot police intervened before the incident
could generate into chaos.
The groom hurried his guests and bridal party to
another church determined to get on with the ceremony, Wambui pursued the group
and found them at Abundant Grace Church where more drama unfolded.
While speaking to the press Wambui said "I work in
Nairobi and we have been visiting each other occasionally. We have never quarreled
on any matter".
The perturbed Wambui said she got hold of ‘her
husband’s’ planned nuptials by luck when she came across a weeding card and
realised something was aloof. She further said she was surprised to find out
that her husband had always claimed they divorced two years ago.
"We have been together all this time and I never
knew that he had planned a wedding with my best friend without my
knowledge," she said.
